Martinair was established on 24 May 1958 & operations started on 30 Jun 1958 as Martin’s Air Charter. MARTIN’S AIR CHARTER acquired VEEN’S AIR SERVICES in 1962 and FAIRWAYS ROTTERDAM in 1964

The PH-MAB bought in February 1960 from Alitalia, was the first airplane owned by Martin's Air Charter. One maintained the Alitalia-livery and replaced Alitalia by Martin's Air Charter Ltd. It was in service till Jnauary 1969 and during that periode it had 5 different liveries. Martin's Air Charter have had 5 DC-3/C-47's in its fleet, which had been used for freight and passengercharters.
